The following are my goals and what I'll probably actually get.

Goals:

Writing: 800
Math: 800
Reading: 800

What I'll probably actually get:

Writing: 750
Math: 800
Reading: 750

Now, those 'probably will get' for the writing and reading is hopeful.

For the reading section I'm going to go for doing all the questions in order (read question the refer back to the passage), but starting with the questions with actual line reference and saving the others for last.

In the writing section I'm just going to be going by grammar rule and gut feeling as I go along. I know it increases in difficulty so as I progress I won't use my gut feeling in the later questions.

For the essay, I'll just read guides on here. I'm a good writer, but that isn't what you get scored on by the SAT, lol.

Well I got a 790 on the W and can assure you it doesn’t test your skills as a writer More like skills as a critical thinker so show them how you think, while using acceptable language.

Second, writing questions do NOT always increase in difficulty with progression. Usually the hardest questions are somewhere in the middle and end of the part, and not always solely at the end.
Learn the rules and you should be fine. I got a -0 MC in May 100% without any prep (though I got a -3 in January with also no prep.) It’s pretty easy so keep in mind that a 750 is easy to get if you’re good at English and speak daily and read loads and stuff. I do read but not as extensively as others and got the score I did. Though I am a bit obsessive about grammar so that may have helped.

By the way, the questions are very generic and repetitive. There’s only so many questions about parallelism they can ask you, you know. So practice a bit if you’re not too confident. It’s easy to improve quickly and efficiently.

Good luck!
I’m aiming for the same scores in Math and English! Same expectations/hopes :)

Thanks :). The reason my expectations in math are so high is because I was in the top 3 at state for UIL Mathematics (A Texas academics thing).

Also, I’m real smart in all my other subjects, but regardless I do make dumb mistakes. I’ll be going over grammar rules, so that’ll help a lot :).

I doubt the curves follow a trend. And you’re wrong. -1 was 780 for May. -2 was 760. Honestly, I don’t care about the curve. I want the CR to be like January’s. Except with a -2 = 800.

Regardless of the curve on math, the odds of me getting a perfect score are greater than the odds of me not. I haven’t missed a single question on any practice test I’ve taken in the math section.

All I’m worried about is writing and CR, not as much writing anymore, but still worried about CR.

Yeah, CR sucks. I was doing well yesterday, was only screwing up vocab and breezing through the passage questions. Today I took a CR test, and techically I did get a higher raw and scaled score, I missed like 3 passage questions and was up in the air on a couple others…so not great for my confidence, but I’ll go over my answers tomorrow and take a few more practice tests.

So far I’ve met my goal of a 60+ on all the CR raw scores for practice tests that I’ve taken(well one was a 59), so I guess I shouldn’t worry too much…
