My experience as a CSE transfer waitlist student, for any of you waitlisted out there

Hello all, I applied to CSE as a transfer student in late October (but transcripts sent early January).

On January 29th, I got the "very carefully considering" status, a few days later I received a letter stating that my application was placed on a wait list. I was not very hopeful so I started applying to different schools. I then noticed on march 25th my application changed to "very carefully considering" again.

I asked the counselor what this may mean. He said don't read into it too much so I worried even more, haha. On Friday I received my letter of acceptance to CSE! It came in the same envelope my wait list letter came in so I was pretty worried, but definitely excited that I got in.

So for any of you in the same situation as me, keep hope as you may get in! I hope this helped, because when I was searching for this situation I only found two people on here but they did not get into the school of choice.

Congrats!!! You will have a wonderful experience. My son is in CSE and is very impressed with their programs. (He is electrical engineering)

Where are you transfering from?

Thanks Kajon! I can’t wait to start.

newfaith, I am transferring from Century College

Yea im in a very similar position. I got put on their waitlist and was told to just send my transcripts from my second semester when I complete it (im taking generals at a community college in Minnesota). Any advice on how I may up my chances? I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA at my college, my high school stats aren’t as impressive I had a 22 ACT and a 3.12 GPA. However, they shouldn’t look at that when considering admission for a transfer?
