Already posted this in Chance Me thread, but I feel the High School life peeps would help me a little more. Take a look
Just got my report card-
English I H. - 95
Wld History H. - 96
Geometry Hon- 96
Accel. Biology H.- 97
Latin II Hon. - 95
Comp. Apps (required in our school, it's retarded)- 98
Health- 98
Gym (if anyone cares)- 92

Calculated UW GPA is like 3.857, W- 4.63
And perfect attendance =DDDD

Even for freshmen grades, aren't these kind of low? Like Top 25 schools (not HYPSM but... you know), would they find grades like this okay? I'm top 10%, and last I checked like 4-6% top. I mean, a lot of other students with me got like all 98's so I kinda feel... retarded.
Plus, I completely 'forgot' my plans for at least all 97's and 98's in my classes. I feel like I worked a hell lot more than my other pupils but they did as good but also much better than me.

I’m pretty sure colleges recalculate UW GPA as in 90-100 is still a 4.0 so your’re still perfect. You have straight As in a challenging schedule! What is there to worry about? lol. Just relax and keep up the good work for the next three years :)

Go to collegeboard.com, look at the average or 25-75% ranges for accepted students at schools in which you are interested, namely for top 25s. You will find they are much lower than you think.

Besides that, what arsenal crazy said is pretty much correct. A lot of unis don’t recalculate, but since you are evaluated in context and since your school sends a profile, adcoms understand how your GPA works at your school. In most HS, you would have a 4.0. As the transcript is far more important than GPA in admissions, you basically have a 4.0. Not that this matters, because a 3.857bla is good.

BTdubs: Did you calc your GPA? Your post sorta makes it sound like you did. If so, it’s probs wrong. If you have straight A’s you have a 4.0 pretty much everywhere. Or, as Chingy would say, errywhere. Straight A’s = 4.0, whether those A’s are 100% or 90% (unless you go to one of those weirdo schools where A’s end around 93).
Also, no one cares about your perfect attendance. And freshman grades matter the least. Some schools totally throw them out. Princeton is among these, IIRC.

PS. I’ve read that some universities don’t really take into account your freshman grades. It’s good that you have a strong start, just hope you didn’t sacrifice too many fun times.
