My final question before the application process..

Vassar is pretty good for int'l aid. Including tuition, books, room, board, medical/insurance, it's about US $45,000 a year but a classmate of mine got financial aid worth US $43,000. Not sure how much was loans, grants, work study, but I'd recommend it. grin

How welknown is vassar??

So if I went to a company in germany or any other country, how would they react on a vassar graduate

anyone?............

Since I pull in the plug for Vassar oftentimes, perhaps I should explain. If you went to a German manager he would most likely have no idea of what Vassar is, to begin with (or Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore or even Brown, Cornell or Dartmouth, for that matter of fact). If you really want some schools which would resonate into their ears, try Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT and perhaps Wharton - and that's about it. Now, if you go to an American manager working in Germany, and especialy to a manager who worked in NYC for a while, he will deffinitely know what Vassar is and you'll have an advantage. However, this is not the most important thing - you will go to grad school most likely and the adcom will deffinitely know what vassar is. Also, I like to think that you get something different out of a small LAC education - it's not only about the different educational experience but also about a small but tight network of alumni and alumnae. So, the decision is yours for sure, but you should not write this kind of institutions off just for the sake of prestige.

U MIch has aid for internationals?!!?
