My final response on the May SAT test

I just wanted to know what people put on that Meteor question for the CR I believe it was; I ruled all the words out except for paucity and ponlypholy or whatever that other P word is. Well I think the other p word was the answer because paucity has nothing to do with feeling.

it was paucity i believe

I looked up the other ‘p’ word and I can’t find it anywhere.

here you go.. [panoply - Dictionary definition and pronunciation - Yahoo! Education](<a href=“Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos”>Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos)

what was the answer? i put paucity..

I don’t even know now man because I thought they were talking about the smoothness of the crater. Eitherway I put paucity hopefully it was right if not no sweat, there’s always next time!

this question sucks. paucity has to be the answer through elimination (btw i picked the other one which is wrong that i looked it up). I had it between paucity and the panoply, but I knew that paucity meant small number so I didn’t chose it…but its the answer. It doesnt make any sense!

i put paucity too

btw i looked up “paucity crater” and i got info so it is definately right. but I still don’t think it’s fair because this is really the tertiary definition of it - ive looked on various dictionary sites and they all say a scarcity or along that lines. To those who got it right, congrats! I only hope that -1 is 800 on this.

ugh. i wanted to put paucity, then erased it and ended up omitting it. one of the 3 sentence completions i omitted :(

The sentence meant that scientists discovered far fewer (or a paucity of) craters than they had expected. Because of that, they theorized that erosion had removed the visible markers of crater impacts over time.
