Since this is the last chance I will have to xfer anywhere, I guess I have to find the right place to go.

Stats

CGPA: 3.3 (64 credits) Low due to multiple infections of bronchitis, almost getting killed by a room mate and an all around bad freshman year.

I am sure I can get really good Recs from my profs.
I am a finance major but I can def do Econ or Sociology if it helps my chances (I like all of those majors!)

Try UNC Chapel Hill or UVA? Syracuse?

Could I really get into UVA OOS?

I forgot to add that I am first generation, no Financial Aid needed and overcame ADD

UVA is possible if you present your strengths in your application, I think.

I assume you are talking of the econ/cas uva right?

bumps before this passes page 1

Average admit to UVA McIntire Commerce school is 3.4 GPA for in-state student transfers (or from students already at UVA) and 3.7 GPA from out-of-state students. And you will get zero extra points for being hispanic.

Good luck--but unless you are a Virginia resident, your odds aren't very good.

P.S. As a Econ/Sociology major, your odds are slightly better, but not by very much. Also, it should be noted that your SAT scores are almost right at UVA's average.

Hmm would I have any shot at NYU gallatin? Looks like a fun program.

Galletin is NYU's self-study or independent study program. It is the program most often chosen by celebrities (or children of celebrities) who go to the school and want to be able to take courses at their convenience--and in different majors--while still graduating in a fairly standard time.

As a result of this, it tends to be very difficult to get into--but I don't have the exact statistics on what it takes to be accepted.
