Given the rest of your application - the SATs will not kill you. They’re ONE PART of the application, not the entire thing. As well, you could always go to Tel Aviv U, Hebrew U, or (if you’re applying to MIT maybe…) the Technion (I think that’s how you spell it) and those aren’t exactly bad options you know :D?

You’re definitely a strong applicant, however, you need to add some safeties in your list. What I call a safety for you would be colleges such as UMichigan or UIUC. But I still do believe you have a shot at Cornell and Columbia, the rest is ambiguous.

I suggest you take a gap year if you don’t make it. Don’t apply to any safeties unless it’s in Israel. It’s not worth it. In the gap year, you can go around the world, intern, get a job, retake the SATs, and then impress the colleges even more.

Yea, I am thinking of doing just that. If I don’t make it this time, I will get ths SAT up and try again. Not applying to safeties! Ain’t worth it, you are right

I guess you guys were TOTALLY wrong. I got into MIT. Wooohooo!! Gotta love that place!

I agree with the above - your only issue would be the SATs. If you can get the SAT I, I think you’d have a good a chance as anyone, possibly even helped by the fact that you’re out of country.

And I’m sure that the admissions officers will take the TOEFL into consideration, although I doubt it’ll fully REPLACE the SAT CR & W.
