Parents went to UNCC and Valparaiso University. Brothers go to UNC and Elon University.

I am interested in International Studies

What are my chances at...

Georgetown
Stanford
Emory
UNC (Im pretty sure I can get in)
Any other suggestions you can make based on my interests (International studies) and credentials?

My transcript shows all As throughout high school, with the exception of a B in AP US History in 10th grade.

For starters, your SAT is significantly better than your ACT so I'd just send your SAT and take some SAT IIs a math, science, and another of your choice and send those. ECs look good as well.

Stanford: Super Reach, pretty much for everyone
Georgetown apply to SFS if interested in int. studies: Reach
Emory: Match
UNC: Match

If I were you, I would find less super reach schools try maybe Johns Hopkins who have an excellent International Relations Dept. and maybe UPenn.

G/L

Yeah, I hated the ACT, so I won't send it at all.

Isn't UPenn a super reach school itself?

Also, my AP Scores...

AP US History: 4
AP Gov: 4
Ap English: 4
AP Environmental Science: 5

Your Unweighted GPA can't be above a 4.0.... I'm guessing you have around a 3.96-3.98 unweighted gpa since you had all A's except 1 B

Stanford: High Reach
Georgetown- low reach
Emory- Match
UNC- Match

My GPA is above 4 for some reason, but not by much...My school, I think, makes an A worth 4 GPA points and an A+ Worth slightly more. But basically what matter is that I have made straight As throughout high school except for a B in 10th grade in an AP class.

No, Penn CAS is not a super reach Wharton yes, but if you're do int. studies Penn CAS is where you should apply.

It doesn't matter what your school does, when it's recalculated by schools your A+ will be a 4.0. You may want to calculate your gpa by yourself.

Thanks guys so much.

Any more advice?

bumpin it up
