My First Post: Would anyone like to chance me?

Hello!

I'm a junior in high school right now and I was wondering if I had any shot at all in getting into one of the Ivy Leagues. If not, I was wondering if anyone had some reccomendations for other schools that would be appropriate for my scores, etc. Also, if anyone has suggestions on things I should do to improve. Thank you!

Here's what I have:

SAT: Math-680, Reading-700, Writing-760
ACT: Composite-32, English-33, Math-33, Reading-32, Science-28
AP Courses: Chem, Calc, US History I and II, Music Theory
(I haven't taken any of the AP tests yet, except for Music Theory last year, which I got a 3 on but I wasn't taking the class very seriously)
E.C.: Outside of School-Piano since age 8, Guitar since age 11, Student Band Program in Philadelphia on the weekends
Inside of School- I think I'm weak in this area, but I'm in my schools Allied Health Academy, for which I'm doing an internship this summer in a health-related field, and I also am in P.A. Club

GPA: 104.44 weighted
Rank: 1/434
I'm number one, but my school is only moderately challenging and it is not competitive.
Race: White

Location: South Jersey

So far, I've only toured UPenn and Princeton. I feel like I may have a shot at UPenn, especially if I do early App, but I know Princeton would be a huuuuuuge stretch, although I am from the state. Do you think I would have a shot at Columbia? I was also thinking of Georgetown, William and Mary, Stanford, but I'm really just starting to look at schools.

Any help would be appreciated.

I will chance back but I’m new to the process so I don’t know how valuable my opinion will be!

Also, haven’t though about essays yet but I am very confident in my writing skills and I think they will turn out solid. I need to take at least two SAT II’s, and i was thinking Chem and History since I’ve taken those AP classes. Language wise, I got up to French III but this year my school wasn’t offering french IV so I am trying to get them to offer it next year. Will this put me at a disadvantage if I am not able to take French IV?

if you can bring up your SATs a bit and score really well on your SAT IIs i dont see why you couldn’t get into princeton? As far as school recommendations, do you have any specific majors/interests?

Your scores are good for only being a junior. However, if you really want to attend a school like Princeton, then I would suggest nothing lower than a 2200 on your SAT. Being first in your class and your gpa will help you as well. Also, you should try to demonstrate leadership in a field you like, which appears to be music; or try to earn an award that demonstrates your ability.

University of Pennsylvania- a reach
Princeton- a high reach
Georgetown- low reach to match
William and Mary- match, but a tough shot because your are out of state
Stanford- a reach
Just because I said reach doesn’t mean that you should appy, because if you really want to attend then you should apply.

Thanks for the help!

I’m interested in Chemistry right now, possibly Biochem, but I’m not really committed to it. I took the SAT’s March of my Sophomore year and only got a 1910. I did tutoring over the summer and it took a lot for me to bring them to the 2140 I have now. I feel like I already raised my score as much as possible but who knows. I was kind of getting used to the idea of not taking them ever again though.

I really like UPenn and Princeton, especially because they are close to where I live but I don’t know. My best friend just got into UPenn with a 2030 SAT score, but her father is a professor there and she had strong ECs so I’m sure that helped a lot.

My parents keep insisting that my inside of school ECs are weak but I just don’t feel like being one of those kids that joins the Chess Club to add a pointless activity to my app.
