My first quarter grades!

I dont know if these grades are going to kill me for all my regular decision schools and if i get defered from harvard. I plan to major in history.

AP Psychology- 92
AP English- 94
AP Economics- 91
Spanish 4H - 92
AP Calculus AB- 86
AP Physics B -88

Don't worry. My grades are not where they are used to be. My senior english class (mandatory) is harder than an AP Lit course (because it is a junior year college english class), and the APs are just horrendous on top of that. I think if I don't pull them up by the time the fall semester is over, I'm going to go nuts.

Projected:

English-88
AP Spanish-93
AP Calculus AB-92
Required Gov't-97
College Anthropology 101- pulling an A- so far...

I know how you feel. I think it's pretty OK considering we have really rigorous schedules. It wouldn't kill us. The only time a STRONG senior year will help you is if you were extremely borderline or not up to par...

Both your grades look fine to me. It's too bad my grades weren't this good last year.

Honors English - 95
AP Calculus - 99
AP Physics - 98
AP Govt - 100
AP Spanish - 100
Debate - 100

How can you guys fit all these AP classes! At my school we have 8 periods a day, one of which is the required Phys. Ed class (:(!!!). Also all the AP classes are a double period. Also since my school is so small some of the classes overlap; so every day I leave AP English one period early to go to AP Chem it's such a pain! Also my school only offers 6 total which puts me a big disadvantage. Probably 30/170 kids even take these classes...
My Schedule:
AP English- A
AP Chem- A
Honors Physics- A
Honors Pre-Calc- probably low B :(
Phys Ed.-better be an A
American Wars- A (took AP US history last year)
Economics & Investing- A

Michele

for my school, harvard actually requests our first term's grades...weird...wonder if it's like that for yours too

I've become a totally social reclusive nerd this MP with college and all and so I got a 95 ap gov, 95 ap eng, 98 ap stats, 98 ap spanish, 94 ap physics, 99 orchestra - is this something we're supposed to send to Harvard - or do we wait for mid year?

i hope they dont want first quarter grades, cuz ive got 3 Bs, one of ems an 81 that aint goin anywhere. i guess its normal to have alot of lower grades than usual. either that, or we're all screwed if we dont get in early.

i've heard they usually request them but i wanna know how much importance they get...they're only progress grades after all....

they request first semester grades, but first quarter? harvard didnt ask me for mine.

they ask your school to send them (quarter grades) directly

Oh, man. Are you serious, shjanama77? My grades aren't where they should be either... I've been slacking off quite a bit.

Band- A, haha.
AP Literature- B-, YIKES.
Civics- A
AP Calculus BC- A
AP Chemistry- B, eh...

umm my school has us staple our first quarter report card to a form and send that in, if the school wants it. harvard doesnt want it, so im safe, at least until i get deferred/rejected on Dec 15th. damn i shoulda applied early to stanford.

I haven't been slacking off, but I'm getting worried. Two of my eight teachers are gone, my biology teacher for the entire year because she just had a baby. She's an awesome teacher and one of the reasons I took IB biology. I can't really learn from the new teacher...teaching IB2 biology for your first teaching job has to be tough for her but is not good for my grades and my soon-to-be IB scores. funny thing is, on our report cards, it still has our old teacher's name.

yeah i know it's bad...i have 2 B's!!!!!...

dude i have 3

Wow we better hope these grades don't affect us too much.
