My friend accepted!?

My friend (international applicant) told me in the first week of March that she got accepted to Georgetown for Regular Decision. But I just read from a thread that Georgetown decisions will be completed on March 19th...

Is this possible? (e.g. Likely Letter... does Georgetown send likelies?) =S

I call BS.

Me too, I think she will have to take all the cards; I know that they don’t do it differently for internationals seeing I am one and have constantly asked the admissions officers…I don’t know whether they do early writes/likely letters or not but I certainly never heard that before.

First week of March is inordinately early considering applications were due only in mid-Jan.

She says that she got her acceptance by mail with all the info about Gtown and stuff… Hmmmm

Is there a chance she is confusing it with Georgetown college in KY?

There was an incident where the school sent out letters to about 30 or so applicants saying that they got in. It was a mistake, so gtown sent out emails saying it was likely they would get in but nothing is final.

Has anyone heard anything for admissions? I feel like GU is leaving in the dark all the way until the bitter end.

^^lololol accidental likely letters?

Who got accidential likely letters?

mab is correct

[Applicants Misinformed of Admission | The Hoya](http://www.thehoya.com/news/applicants-misinformed-admission/)

Ouch, what a disappointment if you get rejected after that 0_0

^It’s quite obvious that they will not be.

I stand corrected although the OP will realize that without the facts anyone would come to the conclusion of BS.

I would say it’s BS that she got all the info and everything, that’s not a LL.

But yes, GU does send Likely Letters. I got one.

^do transfers get likely letters?

I overlooked that. This couldn’t possibly be a likely letter or an ‘accidental acceptance’. In both cases, Georgetown wouldn’t make the egregious mistake of sending the entire admissions package.
