My friend got -1 on math and got a 770 - not a 760 like everyone else

Is this possible? One of my other friends got a 760 and on both of their score reports it showed only one math question wrong. Did my other friend get lucky?

It’s not physically possible. The curve was -40.
He/She is a liar.

Hmmm…well, off the top of my head I’d say your friend with the 770 might be exaggerating, but there’s a chance that your friends didn’t include guessing penalties among the “wrong” answers, which might explain the 10 point difference. The scoresheets can be a little complicated sometimes.

I saw the score on the score report - he was definitely not lying because that’s what I thought at first

Are you talking about the PSAT? Because I got one grid in question wrong and got a 770.

No - the November SAT

Hmm, I’m not sure. But it is very possible for two people living far from each other or for two people who just happened to get different versions of the test.
There are about 3 versions of the text, all of whose curves are different. You will see if you have a chance to have a look at the Questions Answer Services.
