So on the Umich AP Guidelines page it says that if I get 4 or 5 on the ap chemistry exam, I will receive 5 credits. For AP Calc AB, it's 4. My friend who got accepted to LSA told me that she got her evaluations (whatever that means) and she'll get 10 and 4 credits respectively for those classes. I don't get it. She said it's because they count as two semesters each. Can someone explain to me or tell me more about this? It doesn't say that anywhere on their website.
Thank you

Your friend is either mistaken, or it’s possible that she took two semesters of chemistry at a community college and is transferring that instead of the AP test. These are the two most likely scenarios I can think of.

The AP test corresponds to Chem 130 + 125 + 126, which is 5 credits, so I can’t even figure out where the other 5 are coming from. Gen chem is only 1 semester at Michigan (though we make the lab look like 1 year on your transcript, mostly to appease medical schools).

You are right. She was mistaken. Thank you.
