I didn't get an interview for some of my regular round schools, Brown and Georgetown. My friend also applied there and has been contacted for interviews. I did get one for Cornell and Columbia (my friend didn't apply there). I'm not complaining or whatever but I am wondering if the fact that I didn't get an interview but my friend did means that I'm basically rejected. Any advice would be great. Thanks@

EVERYONE is interviewed for these schools, I think. THey just haven't gotten around to contacting you yet. JUST CHILL!

I would not fret. I'm fairly certain schools like Brown, Harvard, Georgetown interview as many applicants as possible.

I only got a call from Tufts about an interview. No Duke, Cornell, UPenn, WUSTL, or Lehigh yet. I'm just gonna wait it out.

Yeah, Cornell, penn, and vandy haven't contacted me yet for an interview. I'm just waiting I guess. =

how long ago did your friend hear? and did you apply at the same time?
you probably just have to wait a little longer.

thing is, we applied like a day apart (I was before him), we have almsot the exact same stats, etc. And the reports are probably due very soon...

Eh, don't put too much weight on it. One of my friends got a Yale interview; I didn't. Then again, we were both rejected, which I suppose isn't very comforting. :p I only interviewed for 2/8 colleges and was accepted to 7/8.

You could try contacting the alumni office in your area if you're really anxious.

The reports are probably NOT due very soon. Chill!

Yeah interviews arent suggestive at all about who gets in and who doesn't. At least for brown (and almost certainly for gtown) everyone gets interviewed (as long as you live in an area with enough alumni and the alumni contacted follows through). Your alumnus is probably just taking longer. Don't worry about it. You could probably call in a few weeks if you dont hear anything. You might be able to find the deadline online.

Brown reports aren't due until March 1st (so my interviewer told me, anyway) so you have plenty of time. Even if you don't get one, it might just mean that the interviewer didn't have enough time to fit every applicant in. Also, interviews don't count for much these days...not having one can't hurt you. So relaaaaax. Everything will work out in the end!
