My friends chances..

<p>My friend got deferred from UMICH around March 10th.. and he really wants to go there. So Im putting up her stats and wondering if he has any chances. A very close friend of family.</p>

740 M, 540 CR, 610 W (best scores)</p>

<p>1890
Scale point: 1990</p>

<p>SAT II:
Korean with listening 770
USH: 760
Math IIC 660</p>

<p>GPA:
3.6 uw
3.85 w</p>

<p>Essay: Very good I read it and it was amazing.
Rec: Probally good since his favorite teacher wrote it for him.</p>

<p>Applied for Literature, Arts and Science for economics</p>

<p>Nobody's gonna say you are stupid, if you just be honest and said it was you, that we are talking about. I don't even know my best friend's scores that detailed, back in high school. U wasted 2 lines of text and I wasted 3.
If Michigan is at least as selective as I think it is, I hope to God that you do not get in.</p>

<p>my friend got into michigan. i have absolutely no clue how. here are his stats:</p>

<p>4.05 weighted
1790 sat (800m, 490reading, 500writing)
760 math2c
780 korean </p>

<p>up to senior year he had not taken one AP CLASS!!!! (this year he is taking four ap classes: calc ab, physics, chem, art history)</p>

<p>asian (korean)
out of state (CA)
he did 1 year of JV swimming but other than that he has no ec's
and he moved to usa in 9th grade</p>

<p>what do u guys think got him in because he got rejected from ucsd,ucla,cal,etc...(which i think arent as good as UM)</p>

<p>oh yeah he applied for civil engineering</p>

<p>that's amazing! At least there's hope for me as i also moved here in 9th grade! And my stats are better than his! Fingers crossed!</p>
