my friend's visits to colleges

I know that i enjoy hearing other's opinions about colleges, so i thought maybe i'd just note what my friends thought of some visits to colleges for those who also like hearing smidgens about colleges. I can't provide any more details though.

Trip 1: My friend liked Brown, Tufts, Columbia, but not BU. I think it was the facilities that she disliked.
Trip 2: My friend felt like Kalamazoo was too small (but of course this is opinion and preference). She thought that Brown was cool but just alright.
Trip 3: My friend loved Pomona (but interesting how she loved the tour guides) but i'm not sure why. i guess it must be cool though. She like USC and said it was cool how they have a lot of school spirit and are right next to the one theater where the grammys are i think. but she said that she didn't like that they only guarantee freshmen housing, and LA is expensive. She decided Claremont McKenna were big on international relations and politics like DC schools but she's not into that. She thought Occidental was really pretty but too small.
Trip 4: Several of my friends have loved Georgetown. They also like GW but are concerned about dorm overcrowding. American i've heard is also nice, but no one seems to be that big on it.
Trip 5: Someone said University of Toronto was nice, except way too huge. My friend also likes McGill.

if anyone else has visit stories or quick opinions please share them! i realize that these are really up to individual preference, but the reasons that some people like/dislike colleges may share a common pattern that may shed some insight into a certain college.
