My future chances?

Hi,
I am currently a junior from a public high school in California and was wondering if my current academic path can be considered good enough to get into the colleges I would like to apply to. I would like to aim for: UCIrvine, UCSan Diego, UCBerkely, UCLA, Rice, and Brown (I know a lot of these are reaches). Also, my dream school is Brown (since it has both a strong academic program and art classes with RISD) so would turning in an art portfolio or getting more involved with art ECs give me a better chance? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! :)

Thank you for taking the time to read this! :)

I'm from the east coast and thus cannot comment on UC schools, but I can for Brown. While your application is strong, you have strong EC's, and your grades seem to be okay, it is not very competetive for Brown. If your art is high quality, then send it along as a supplement, and that could be a major push.

sat score?

Mushroooms:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCI: Safety

Thank you all for your help!

As for my SAT score, I haven't taken the real thing yet but I did take a free SAT Practice exam and scored 2210 on it. Does that help?

Thanks again!

Doesn't really help

It doesn't help, but it's enough, right?

consider applying to the dual degree program. Community service is big , have u done that?

Also brown is not an art school so the portfolio isn’t going to help , it will show your diversity but u don’t want them to think u are coming to be an art major, and if so like I said , apply for the brown/risd program. you will need to apply to risd too and get into both.

You should be in at all, however Brown and Rice will be slight reaches… This is if you get a GOOD/DECENT SAT. But remember it doesn’t solely matter on your SAT
