My G.P.A is horrible!

<p>High School has been rough and I did really bad my freshmen and sophomore year, my grades are:</p>

<p>I honestly just did not care back then and was really stupid. But then I switched schools and started to get my act together and now my grades are

ACT Prep: A</p>

<p>My Algebra 2 teacher recomended me to take College Algebra over the summer so I can take Pre-Calc my senior year. For my senior year im taking
AP English 12
Pre- Calc
AP Gov't/AP Macroeconomics
AP European History
Physics
Yearbook
(I can't decide what my last class should be, any help?)</p>

<p>So what I really want to know is will colleges look at this and see improvment? I obvioulsy wont get into any ivy leauge schools but I would really like to go to to SIU or UIC for journalism major. What are my chances? :(</p>

<p>Don’t you have to retake the F classes? Anyway, a Good ACT might open up a lower level state college. GL.</p>

<p>I’ve always thought that colleges love to see improvement. It shows what your really capable and that you want it. My advice finish high school strong.</p>

<p>Improvement is good, it’s better to have an upward trend than a downward trend. But like sosomenza said, if you can kill the ACT/SAT, you’ll definitely have some opportunities. Good luck!</p>

<p>SIU: Aim for 23+
UIC: Aim for 25+</p>
