My GPA changed significantly?

I applied to several schools through the Common App and at the time, my GPA was a 4.8. I jad just transferred schools and my AP credits had not been succesfully transferred. My GC updated everything for the first report card and now my GPA is a 5.8 and I’ve moved up to the top 5% of my class as opposed to my poor ranking at the beginning of the year. Should I contact the schools I applied to and update my information? I would probably have to send out new transcripts to almost a dozen schools and my Questbridge decision comes out Dec. 1 :-/

As it is such a drastic change, I would contact the schools and submit an official update along with an explanation as to why the change occurred.

Is this early action? My school’s first term grades come back a couple weeks after the EA deadline, so we just send them out late… how did you send your transcript without having senior year on there? I say go to your GC first before doing anything on your own, this sounds like something your school should handle.

yes, contact the schools immediately. Any positive significant change should be added.
