Alright... so I am going to JHU BME, but I got a C in AP Literature.

Will I get kicked out of the BME program??

(Btw, I also got an A in AP Calculus BC, an A in Spanish III, a B in AP Statistics, and a B in AP Government.)

no 10characters

haha. short and to the point. i like it.

anybody else?

no 10characters

Well, should I at least call the school and let them know ahead of time? Or should I just not bring any attention to myself?

Yeah bring it to their attention, also let them know about how your jumper is a bit off since you applied and how you broke up with your gf. lol i kid.
Don’t worry about it, enjoy your summer!

lol… so… DON’T call?

they are gonna see your transcript anyway…

dude don’t call, it will be okay they’re not heartless, they won’t destroy your dreams because of a few bad grades.

more like “did you destroy your own dreams by a few bad grades??” This has more to do with the student - not the policy of the university.

In your case Hyperkraz…Your one “bad” grade will not effect you in the least. Dont worry about it. They will see your transcript and move on.
I know you are all in your head over this but think realistically: Ever heard a story about a school kicking out an accepted student for one “C”? (BTW: A C in lit no less…for a BME major?). Nope…you are golden.

Now a few C’s and a D (or not graduating) would be a different story!.

Yes, but I have never had more than one B on my report card, and now I have two B’s and a C.
I think the fact that my grades have dropped so drastically will attract attention. Also, this year, Johns Hopkins has had significantly more applicants than any other year.

HyperKraz…
Your 2 B’s and a C will not get an offer retracted. If you are sweating it out, call an admissions officer, and chat about it. This could ruin your summer, so why let it?

Everyone here is saying don’t sweat it, you are fine, but it is still bothering you.
So call…

nahhh…I’ve heard so many people with the same story hahaha
there are plenty of people who went from all A’s to A’s, B’s, and like a C or two
I think you’ll be ok…but yes like failing grades or a few “D’s” as some people have may be kinda iffy haha (we have A, B, C, and then F, there’s no D’s LOL)

Thanks for all the replies… I just gotta calm down. I guess it’s no biggie. haha. Thanks again!
