Ya so i just finished my interview with GW...and let me say it was the first time that I actually did not want to attend this school.

I was very turned off by my interviewer and I felt it was a waste of my time. I took the time to prepare my transcript and resume and she asks me a total of 3 questions and 1 was her being ignorant.

The interview lasted for approximately 25 minutes, 10 minutes of which I had to ask her questions because she ran out of things to ask me. Then she even cut me short by getting up midway through one of my questions, which was insulting.

Now as for some of you who are going to tell me that it may have been me...yea it could have been, but i highly doubt it. My resume had two particular activities that I couldve spent hours talking about...me founding a chapter of the american red cross...and my 1700 hours on an ambulance...how do you not have at least 1 question on any of that. (My resume was three pages long, with many meaningful activities and awards)

My grades are good enough for GW and she didnt even comment on any of my academics. She literally took my transcript and resume from my hand looked to see wut it was for about a second and then placed it behind her...again very insulting.

I am very dissapointed in GW and if i didnt pay the money to send my SAT scores, id probably not even bother with their application.

So much for my number 1 choice

Don't let one person change your thoughts on a whole school. I had an interview yesterday, and the guy was EXTREMELY nice, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. He seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say, and we spent quite some time talking about my interests outside of school. He honestly seemed disappointed when I told him what my scores and GPA were (neither of which are up to GWU RD par, if that makes sense) and suggested that there are many wonderful schools in this country, and that you're going to get a good education anywhere you go. Keep that in mind, whatever you decide.

the woman was nice, but she definatly was out there and didnt seem like she wanted to take the time for each student.

Its a strategy. I felt the same way--turned off-- after my GW interview. I felt as though my interviewer was extremely cold and a huge elitist.

However, after my interview I talked to my friend, who used to interview applicants for GW, and he told me they actually are told intimidate applicants through silence and "akwards looks." They aynalize how you react and carry yourself--and then write a report that goes into your admissions file. Creepy.

So---If you interview at GW make sure you keep your cool and present yourself to the best of ur ability.

ya i mean it def went well, i was dissapointed in how it was carried out you know. Like we had a conversation like we were long time friends, we talked about her daughter and stuff for a while. So i think carried myself well.

so what; shes not there to impress you. its on her, she can do what she want...

its your fault for not being more interesting...

"its on my resume, but i wanted to comment on this"...you need to take initiatve - it isn't her obligation to keep you more than 5 seconds.

she was not being rude; its her house, her rules. even if you meet in a public place...

you are the one who shuold feel insulted.

thats good--dw haha
