My harsh UCLA Provisional Contract... T.T Help!!!!

hi, I have a question about my provisional contract.., I got admission letter Econ major but "literally", I got rejection..

Today, I called UCLA admission center about my provisional contract. It requires to get all A this spring semester but I have a course that was choosed as P/NP or C/NC (pass or nonpass). The course is Bioscience 101, which is just required as IGETC, not a major prerequisite.

I think I can get all A , but I am really concerned that my P/NP course was not based on letter grade. ( UCLA admission center's lady said by phone that I should report my P/NP courses so that the admission advisor will re- evaluate my application... What do I do?? Does it matter? I didn't know I have to get all letter grade.. and it already pass the due date of changing P/NP.. I need advise!

======================below is my contract..======================

dude…

that’s fuccked…

*** is wrong with UCLA!! on second though, i dont think i wanna go here haha. i am so not getting an A in ALL my classes! what if u get an A-?

DVC doesn’t have A-

you can maybe contact the professor and see if they can work anything out with the administration. maybe you shouldn’t have taken 3 major courses and 1 important igetc course during your last semester before transfer. The reason for the A is because if you don’t you won’t have a similar gpa to other applicants. If you’re worried about getting all A’s, you could possibly wait and apply during the next cycle. Don’t try to push yourself too much and get a B in a class. If you’re intent on going this year then if possible, get updates from your professors after every quiz, midterm, exam, or paper.

this is how UCLA gets their 21000 admits down to 5000. i bet more than half cant make conditional agreements, if they’re thrown on them like this!

its ridiculous

This is the kind of crap international students are getting from UCLA. Gotta have and maintain a 4.0.

Do all international students really have this strict requirement once admitted to UCLA? Seems really excessive.

NO, NO and NO, my friend is an international student and his conditional agreement is just like everyone else (I mean not getting Ds or Fs and such…)

that’s HARSH!!! good luck :///////

O_O how can you get an A or better. what is better than an A?

"- You must complete a minimum of 93.00 transferable quarter (62.00 semester) units with a grade point average of 4.00. "

did you apply with a 4.0?

can you give us more info , besides taking what seems to be
calc 2 , micro or macro , and the english requirement?

HOW ARE YOU EVEN ACCEPTED? I’d figure that they wouldn’t even look at your app considering that you are currently taking 3 pre req courses out of 5 , which isn’t much in the first place.

damnnnn

it sounds like you have a lot of concerns and are really worried. You should probably call there the admissions office directly to see if the provisions are really that strict. Best of luck…

You do not have to apply with completed preqs, you have to complete them by the end of spring prior to transfer.

TO have and maintain a 4.0 is rather odd though.
