My high school grades are down the drain

Guys, Boston College is my first choice school and I’m afraid that I am not a very competitive applicant to get accepted into the school. My overall average dropped by 1 point from an 85.38 to an 84.87 (3.0 to 2.9 GPA). I did not have honors or APs. I may be graduating with an 86 (3.1 GPA) in June. This year, my senior schedule looks really good with an honor, AP and others though.

I just want to know that I’m a senior right now, and would anyone recommend me do anything at this point so when I get denied to BC as a freshmen, I can successfully transfer in sophomore year with a mediocre GPA from high school. (Please, any helpful advices needed).

The only reason why my avg. was lowered was because I had to go to summer school to take a course to refresh my memory on the topics in order to retake my regents once again in August and pass it.

People, I’ll provide my application statistics later in the next few months though.

Transferring into ANY selective college requires high college grades. Period. A college like BC, which values service to humanity, also looks at ECs carefully. High subject test scores could help in the absence of AP scores.
