Midway through my third year of Latin, my highschool has decided not to offer any kind of Latin IV for the upcoming school year. Could this put me at a disadvantage for college admissions? Should I take a first level course in another language, or would that be a wasted effort?

I think it would be a waste. Exception: if there is another language that you are dying to take and you know the teacher is great.
Otherwise, use that newly open spot to add another class in your area of strength.

To clarify my situation, here’s my tentative schedule for my senior year:

AP Physics
AP Stat
AP Calc
AP Lit
Senior Religion
Engineering
CAD
Anatomy and Physiology

I wanted AP Euro and AP Bio, but they’re only offered during the same period as AP Physics. Sigh.

lucky u -_-

The AP Latin exam changed and I believe all Latin programs had to shift…
so for example, our student went from Latin 3 Honors last yr to AP Latin Virgil…
Does your school offer AP Latin Virgil? Skipping 4 is doable. Really.
