Anything I can do about this? I really don’t want to have 3 people in a room, it’s too cramped. And actually I want to be closer to the center of the campus too… anyone I can talk to to change my assignment?</p>
<p>Is Evenstar an honors dorm this year? I was supposed to be Shire but got Evenstar, I’m kind of irritated…</p>

<p>Of course internet will be provided. Do you know how much we pay for housing?! You will need your own ethernet cables for the dorms, and a hub will be needed for triples.</p>
<p>Tama, I had the honors (haha) of being in a triple last year. You could try getting a room change, but those don’t happen too often unless you have a huge problem with your roommate or something like that. A lot of people will be unhappy with their room assignments at first, so it’s not really possible to change everyone just to make them happy. You’ll just have to get used to it (and yes, I survived a triple with good memories 
).</p>

<p>You need an ethernet cable for internet. You need to bring your own router or buy one to get wireless internet.</p>

<p>Haha, was that a pun? My friend is in the CHP, that’s why I’m wondering. I’m mostly just worried about having a stranger I don’t know living in the same place as I am since I have no idea what he’s like (naturally). I’m a bit more paranoid about security since my house was broken into last year. 
Is there any specific date that we should try to get a room change done by? I’m afraid my only option of communication is e-mail since I’m in China until the 13th. The roommate that I don’t know added me on Facebook, but I can’t communicate with him about it since it’s blocked in China.</p>
<p>ask the person for an email address. or ask a friend to log on to your account and view the person’s profile to get other contact info. most likely you shouldn’t have problems w/theft by your own roommie… you could always get a small safe to put in your room.</p>
<p>AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Still have not heard from housing. Can’t stand the wait. Both my cousin & I are in norcal, chose ME, and have not gotten anything yet. Getting worried about it. If I don’t hear by today, guess will call housing. Anyone else not heard yet too?</p>

<p>I did not know that I was supposed to go through webmail for UCI notices. I kept checking my yahoo account, so of course no notifications from UCI. Finally checked yesterday and I got my housing assignment last Friday. Also found out i missed the deadline to take the alcohol/drug test online. Did it anyway.</p>
<p>you guys can automatically forward your UCI mails into your regular email accounts. Thats what I do, since I forget to check my UCI mail</p>
