my hypothetical chances...

I know these types of ?s are probably dumb, but here goes anyway:

background: i'm applying for a Master's program in school psych to 4 somewhat smaller schools in the northeast.

what i have going for me:
excellent GRE scores (600 V, 770 Q)
good work experience
good extracurricular involvement
good writing skills, so
should be able to come up with a good personal statement

what i dont have going for me:
cumulative GPA is only a 2.95 right now, this is helped by the fact that most of my crappy grades came in the first 2-3 semesters and that my psych gpa is a bit higher. My grades this semester are looking pretty good, so hopefully I can boost the final total closer to the magical 3.0.

I can meet the minimum requirements at all the places I'm applying to, which range from 2.5-2.75, but I know this is still going to hurt me bigtime.

Looking at the whole picture, how do my chances at slipping through the cracks somewhere honestly look right now? Any advice on how to further boost my application would be appreciated too. :)

what schools are you applying to?

Southern Maine
UMass amherst
Northeastern
Fairfield
