My interview kicked ass!

Seriously. My interviewer rocked.

He said I was OUTSTANDING and that he'd try to write the best recommendation to ensure that I get in. :D

I almost shed a tear during th interview. :(

Congratulations: your violent and scathing temperament must not have flared up during your conversation.

I am only hostile to unworthy creatures.

Lol. Mine lasted 2 Hours and He Said The Same Thing and Then Added: "While I've Interviewed Many Worthy Candidates, It Is Really the Candidates Application That Decide Whether or Not the Student is Accepted, The Most I Can Do Is Report Back That You Would Be A Wonderful Addition to Princeton." From My Friend Whose Mother is An Alumni Interviewer, "The Admissions At Princeton Rarely Will Use the Interview as a Deciding Factor: What It May Do is Slightly Push You Through the Door[From 99% Sure of Acceptance to the Actual 100% Sure of Acceptance"]." Best of Luck Though!!!!

Lol! Yeah, I wish it held more weight. 2 Hours?! Damn. What did you talk about??

My interview rocked, too. I wish they held more weight because my interviewer helped me find a lot of things I do that I didn't put on the app that show Princeton qualities, or whatever. D: Eeeeh.

AY8888- .....Why Do You Capitalize the First Letter of Every Word?

It stands out a little more :p. Lol. My friends mother was half kidding when she said "Princeton doesn't give a .... about the interview." It is really for you to ask questions so that you can learn more about the college. That's what she told me. So i am not sure how much weight it really can do.

lol, ok. :P
My interviewer didn't even tell me how much it was weighted. He just said it was a way for Princeton to find out stuff about me that wasn't on my app so they could select candidates who would create a diverse environment. He was a lawyer so he wanted to "find information with which he could create a good argument for my admission." So... I don't know, haha.

If I had to spend the entire time asking questions it would have been an awkward interview.

My guy...

He was interesting.. He cursed quite a few times, but somehow it made me feel at ease. lol.

He also opened up to me. He told me he used to be an alcoholic and that he has a program that helps recovering alcoholics. I guess he felt as though we had a bond because we both do a lot in our community.

my guy was in the finance industry. my friend got someone who owns Dairy Barn.

my interviewer was the athletic director at another high school who saw the game where my team beat his team in the semifinals :o (we went on to win the state championship) i was afraid he'd be kind of ****ed about that but instead, he was awesome. the fact that i visited princeton REALLY helped because we pulled out a map from one of the books and started going through all the things i loved about princeton (wood woo esp.) i sent an email to say thanks for such a helpful interview and he (like your interviewers) said he tried his hardest to convince pton to take me :)

if only the interviews held more weight....

LOL IM GLAD THEY DON'T HAVE AS MUCH WEIGHT!

because unfortunately, I didn't have such a good interview.. I hate to compare, but my Harvard & Penn interviews were much much stronger. My interviewer is a recent alumn and wasn't very enthusiastic. she was more like "whatever. princenton. Hoorah." I asked her how her experience was and she gave a mediocore, monotone "Great." I was comfortable and everything, my part was fine, she just didn't give me much to go off of because she was so disconnected. And when I asked her about to give her perspective on college life @ princeton and dormlife.. she starts talkin about the parties and goes "yeah, and there's like beer and stuff, so yeah." I was thinkin "what the hell.. i'm seventeen lol, you're not supposed to persuade me to go by telling me there's beer hahahaha.

Oh, and I was dressed in black pants, black dress shoes, and a button-up shirt.. she was in jeans & sneakers and a hoodie. Hair was tassled. She just wasn't really into it I guess... or else wanted to make me more comfortable by being really informal.

I think the alumni interviewers are generally very impressed with the prospective interviewers, as times have changed a lot. My interviewer even told me, "princeton isn't the same as it used t be. I bet today I would get denied instantly. The kids there now are extreme achievers. In my time, you would be a sure thing, but its very hard to say these days."
