lol. what are the chances of that.

you are kidding me right?

LOL so which one is ur first choice?

wow a yalie and a hahvahd student, i wonder how often that happens. did you ask him if there is a lot of school rivalry at home?

no i am dead serious

i'd rather go to yale.. didn't get the chance to ask him lol

lol that's funny, did you end up going to their house twice or something?

It would have been great if you told each of them that Harvard/Yale was your favorite school and THEN realized they were married :p

It is a small world in academia. That's why it does not pay to weave stories.

LOL that is quite interesting

weave stories?..

i haven't had the yale interview yet; it's tomorrow.. he actually told me over the phone that his wife had already interviewed me, so i guess they regularly compare notes to see if there's an overlap of students. will this affect my chances of getting into either school?

Just be consistent!

life is so insane, especially as far as admissions goes.

wow, what a small world, hope your interview goes well!

I once had a job interview with a woman who ended up hiring someone else. Shortly afterwards, I interviewed with her husband for a similar position in a different department, and got hired. My boss used to joke with me about what a mistake his wife had made, because I turned out to be much better at the job than whomever his wife hired. Obviously they compared notes at home.

My mom is a Yalie and my dad went to Harvard. They met through the Ivy League Personal Ads in the back of the alumni magazines.

lol I didn't know they had Ivy League personal ads...that could be taken to be very elitist actually...but I think it's funny :p

My interviewer ended up knowing my dad's partners because he was a doctor as well, so now they talk to each other at the hospital.

lol, wow, this is crazy... well, good luck is all i can say!!!

Ivy grads definitely fraternize with each other. There are at least 3 dating services (The Right Stuff, SquareDating, and--good grief!--GoodGenes) that claim to match alums from Ivies and other elite colleges with like-minded singles.

yeah, it truly is a small world. my dartmouth interviewer turned out to be a really good friend of the new psych teacher at my school. and my friend's princeton interviewer was actually the guy I had to interview for my english assignment, lol (too bad my friend didn't find out sooner, i could've told him a bunch of things about his interviewer!)
