My issues with mathematics and transfering?

I want to badly transfer from the institution I'm going to after my freshman year of college. However I'm stuck in a math class that doesn't go up to even an Algebra II level. I'm in the class due to a learning disability in math and I'm stuck in it for the whole year but I do get college credit for it. I'm deeply worried about the math level of the class in terms of transferring and I fear I will be trapped at the school I'm at due to this even if I were to have excellent grades and a very strong GPA.

However I keep being told by my parents, other college students, and one of the admissions consulars at one of the schools(Gettysburg College) I want to transfer to. That colleges/universities in terms of admissions for transfer students for the most part look to see if they are taking challenging and engaging classes, along with the fact that they have done well in them and maintained a high GPA, not necessarily the level of the class.

Is this true or not? Because I really want to transfer from the school I'm going to and I don't want my math level held against me in transferring, especially since I am taking otherwise advanced/up to level classes and that I should have a high GPA.

You need to take your questions about the specific math course you are enrolled in to the disabilities offices at the colleges that you are looking at. They will know their institutions’ specific policies about students with formal diagnoses of mathematics disabilities.
