Why do only sketchy people come to where I work? 50% of people have tattoos and/or bizarre facial hair (not to judge)

so yeah, I should have applied to Starbucks as a reach - it is much more prestigious

What is your job?

^ i agree, what is your job?

I work at Dunkin Donuts, and even the old people have tatoos!!!

random color for 21 seconds

^ my cousin used to work there…but they had a new rule that didnt allow her to take home the leftover donuts…

Wth! I couldnt even get a job at McDonalds [maybe i should have called them more to tell them to CHECK my app i dont think they even did :(]…I applied to Caribou coffee as well but that was a huge reach.

I suppose I’m gonna end up at KFC :/

at least you were able to get a job :D

Haha, I knew exactly where you worked after this comment. I hear Dunkin Donuts is the Iv–err, Starbucks of the donut shops.

do they have AA for jobs

…

That’s what affirmative action was made for

^ If they had AA for that…i would have already gotten the jobs everywhere.

A couple summers ago a applied for a job at Kohl’s…they sent me a “rejection” letter. No joke.

I applied to Panera Bread. Not looking good at this point :/

That is not what AA was made for -.-

I love DD. And I have a tattoo.
Darn I just proved your stereotype :p.
Although if you saw it, we’d have issues lol.

Well, here in california, we don’t have Dunkin Donuts, but there is a bakery in town where some, well, interesting people go. One time I saw a man sitting there with a cup of coffee talking to himself. Maybe weird people are just attracted to these sort of places. You probably should have applied at Starbucks because their seems to be less sketchy people.

John Kennedy coined the term “affirmative action.” Executive Order 10925 was signed by President John F. Kennedy on March 6, 1961, requiring government contractors to “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.” This was the original use of affirmative action. For jobs. Government jobs, granted, and not Starbucks, but still: for jobs. Of course, CC associates AA with college and nothing else.

^^^Is it in a sacred place?
And CPA, you have to realize that where you reside is not a normal place, everyone knows Dunkin Donuts.

^ No. I just don’t wear clothes that would reveal it.

you should be grateful you got a job
I’m looking everywhere and still no result

Are they rude to you?

Dunkin Donuts isn’t that bad, I never thought of it being ‘less prestigious’ than Starbucks though. Still, now that I come to think of it, Starbucks is more universally known.
Congrats on actually having a job though, I know too many teenagers (including, err, myself) who intend on getting a job but end up being lazy bums.
I’m thinking of applying to a job at the nearest ‘big’ supermarket near me. My friend who lives right next to there applied multiple times but didn’t get called in for an interview.

I hate how it’s so hard to get a regular job here. You either do a summer internship at your mom’s/dad’s/other relative’s/parent’s friend’s law firm/bank/etc. or just give up any hope of work experience and keel over and die.

answer: no, because everyone in town is white.

sames - they interviewed me and said they’d call back, but never did

What is your tattoo, like the Folgers logo or something?
haha you have no idea - like tattoos are normal, but when there are also forty year old women with insane amounts of mascara and died hair and tattoos that come in with their 20 year old boyfriends, it’s a different story. Everyone sketches me out so much

lol we have 2 Dunkin’ Donuts’ in town, but I feel like Starbuck’s prestige would mean only business people would go there.
Maybe the fact that it is inside Walmart has something to do with the clientele

we actually don’t have a Starbucks here, but they do in Providence!
I’m not really complaining about my job so much as the weird people that I never knew existed
