<p>No… you don’t get minimum wage all the time. Restaurants can pay you less than minimum wage as long as with tips, you make minimum wage. I have friends who work for ~$3/hour + tips. So it’s minimum wage INCLUDING tips.

<p>Oh, well, I think the law is different in Washington State, because as a busser I make minimum wage + tips, and the waiters do as well, they just get more tips than I do.</p>
