I actually turned down a job offer at DD months ago just to be a waitress at a local restaurant. Worst decision ever.

^ why was it a bad decision, don’t you get tips and stuff?

^ Being a waiter/waitress is one of the worst jobs you can have. You’re grossly underpaid and you have to deal with b***chy customers and bosses.

It is the one job I have sworn never to take :/

I’m not complaining about the pay. I’m fine with that.

The people are just plain old rude. Last week, some loser spent 15 minutes convincing me that I should be working for Hooters. Creep.

I wish I was aware of that earlier.

Reason why I hate food service jobs.

Wait, is CelaPlusAimaple Mapleleafs26? I never made the connection till I knew they were from the same town and maple was in the name.

Where I live, all the DD’s lack diversity. Everyone who works their are Asian.

Where I live, Hispanics run the McDonald’s.

As a teenager, that’s not really true. I’m 17 and most jobs I can get at this age would be minimum wage, so restaurant jobs pay a LOT more because they’re minimum wage + tips.

Become a CNA and make about $11/hr.

No… you don’t get minimum wage all the time. Restaurants can pay you less than minimum wage as long as with tips, you make minimum wage. I have friends who work for ~$3/hour + tips. So it’s minimum wage INCLUDING tips.

Am I the only one confused?

^Whoa. Totally didn’t see that.

It must not have copied properly. Whoops.

This is what it should be:

Possibly the funniest thread ever on CC.

Do any of you guys have any idea on how one gets a job permit? :o

^ Go to your counselor’s office, or your general office at school. They should have applications there.

^Seriously?
Ahhh, thank you thank you thank you so much, romani!

I had a lady ask for a blizzard, i asked what size, she went “COOKIE DOUGH” . I said “ma’am, what size” she screams “COOKIE DOUGH!!!” And so i go, “small? medium? large?” She calls me a “*****ing moron” and walks out

- People it’s MOOLATTE not Mulatto…You are not asking for a person, you are asking for a frozen coffee

While working as the “Tinkerbell Guide”

Oh, well, I think the law is different in Washington State, because as a busser I make minimum wage + tips, and the waiters do as well, they just get more tips than I do.
