I'm currently a junior and here's my current schedule:

-APUSH - Online through Apex. Not sure how I feel about it yet. (Has anyone taken Apex classes before?)
-AP Latin - Teacher is pretty easy, and languages are my strength. Most of the work is done in class, so our homework is usually just to go over what we've done in class.
-Physics HN - Teacher makes an effort to make it interesting and not that much homework.
-AP Psychology - Kind of a bad teacher; hw is to read a chapter (40-ish pages but it's easy to understand) per class.
-AP Calculus BC - Somewhat hard; but still manageable. The teacher knows his material pretty well (I'm assuming) but just has a hard time explaining concepts so I'm learning through the textbook.
-AP English Lang - Take-home essay every 2 weeks & new vocab every week. Vocab is also my strength. Homework is mostly to annotate a short story (but the teacher loves her job and chooses interesting pieces too).
-Korean 2 - Online. We meet once per week and not that much homework at all.

However, due to scheduling conflicts, I'm taking APUSH and Korean online. So I have two free periods during the school day.

Honestly, so far, most of my classes have been really easy. Should I take an 8th class? I'm really bored during those free periods because I'm required to spend them in the library. For one of them, I spend it self-studying for AP Computer Science (but I'm not taking the exam since I actually want to take it as a class next year and it's not offered this year) and for the other one I just sleep in a corner of the library. Should I take an extra class during that time instead? I was thinking AP Gov't because it would also satisfy my senior year history class requirement. AP Gov't is also the only available AP class during the period I want.

I'm also considering switching out of AP Psych to AP Chem because the Psych teacher is really bad at teaching us what we need to know. The AP Chem teacher is hard to understand sometimes but her class has the highest AP passing rate in all the nearby schools. I've also heard that it's a pretty hard class with lots of work, but I have faith.

I'd really like to make all these decisions before interim.

So tl;dr - should I take AP Gov't instead of having a free period? Or will having that free period be helpful later on in the year? And also, should I switch out of AP Psych into AP Chem?

Thank you for reading!
