@12345n‌ I am very sorry, but I have no info. about Vassar…

BUMP

@michaelite Your ECs are very good and quite focused (unlike mine which are all over the place).Since you can afford 45 K I’m assuming you’ll be full pay for all of the public universities on your list.

1)Stanford - Too unpredictable.
2) UT Austin - You’re in
3)UCLA - In
4)UIUC - In
5)Cornell - Match
6)Caltech - Reach for anyone but you’re qualifications seem very fitting
7)Dartmouth - Low reach

Well your stats are amazing. And your ecs are very interesting as well. You’re SAT could be higher for schools like Harvard, stanford, and definitely Caltech (which I think has the highest average SAT of any school of almost 2300) and might even be a tad low for dartmouth and brown. Anyway, you’re SAT is still very good and should be a very good feature on most of your apps. For Cornell, I’ve heard that essays are more important than they usually are, so make sure those are top notch. So, if I dont mention a school its because I think you can get in.
Harvard- reach
Stanford- reach
Caltech- reach
Brown- low reach
Dartmouth- low reach
Swarthmore- i dont know much about this school
Cornell- high match/low reach

Good Luck!!! (:

BUMP

@Mike1535‌ my cornell essay is, in my opinion, the best of the lot…also from what i saw my SAT is higher than the SAT for all except Caltech and Harvard ( Caltech is just too high)…do you think my EC’s are good enough?

@Mike1535‌ also i thought the fact that i come from a non english speaking country might actually make than SAT score look good

My apologies. I meant in know way to diminish your SAT score, obviously it’s still an amazing score. However, it helps to be well above average especially at schools like Stanford, which had a 5.07% acceptance rate last year. Also, It would make sense that they do take into account that you don’t come from an english speaking country. I think that your ecs are very interesting and that the tennis one is quite compelling, however if Im being nitpicky, you might have benefited by having more leadership positions. At the end of the day though, what college you go to is by no means the main determinant of your success and happiness in life and in any case Im sure you will get into some great school. Best of luck.

@Mike1535‌ thanks for the analysis and advice

Stanford - Reach (unpredictable)
UT-Austin - Low Match - (I know people with much lower stats than yours who have gotten in for Comp Sci)
UCLA - Match
UIUC - Low Match
Cornell - Low Reach
Caltech Reach but you may have a good chance considering test scores are vital for them and yours are stellar
Dartmouth - Low Reach
Brown - Reach (Brown is very unpredictable)
Georgia Tech - High Match
Harvard - Reach
Purdue - Safety
Harvard - Reach
Swarthmore - Match
Umich - High Match

You look like a very strong applicant with excellent scores + EC’s - the fact that you applied for FA as an international may have slightly hurt your chances at some schools but considering you can still pay 45k a year you should be alright. I expect you should get into at least half of your schools.

@braapbraap‌ thanks…btw Caltech scores are insane…their average SAT is 2300, highest by 55 marks ( harvard has 2245)…and do I really have a good shot at Cornell?

True but your maths portion of the SAT is perfect along with your subject tests so i think that’ll help you out for Caltech. I can’t see why you wouldn’t get into Cornell you have everything you need - but ivy league admissions are unpredictable on the whole so you can’t know for sure.
