My last chance thread Please help

vietnamese, immigrant, came here in 1998, parents dont speak english, first gen. to college, super low income, intended major: biochem.(will this hurt me?)</p>

<p>GPA: weighted: 4.54, unweight: 3.97, UCGPA: 4.24?
rank 4/447--dont know if school ranks(not on transcript), but i found out through the school's system.</p>

<p>SAT1(1st time): 1810, Writing:590, CR:530, Math:690,essay:9
SAT1(2nd time):1900, writing:550, CR:560, math:790,essay:8
dont know wat this does but 1350/1600 and 1900/2400</p>

<p>SAT2: math2: 740, chem:700, US history:650
ACT: composite:27, english:22, reading:23, math:31, science:32, essay:8</p>

<p>Ap Tests: Calc AB+BC 5 ea., APUSH-4, Chem-3
ELC, top 4% in school-guaranteed admission to UCI, UCSB, and UCM
essays: mediocre, not very good nor creative in english.</p>

<p>Jr sched: Calc Ab, BC, Stats, Chem AP, APUSH, am lit. Hr, Java programming, Spanish 3.
Sr sched: gov AP/econ, Mythology, Biotech(ROP), Bio AP, physics Hr, 3d design, physiology.
All As in high school except 1 B in am lit hr.</p>

<p>John Hopkins seems sort of up in the air.</p>

<p>Class rank and such is VERY good... good enough for Hopkins.</p>

<p>SAT's, however, aren't looking so good. Those 500's need to go, in the very least.</p>

<p>I think you still have a chance, although you'll have to write some good essays/interview/show interest.</p>
