<p>This thread gave me two flashes. First was a grainy black and white "telepathic video clip" of Allied soilders bravely holding a hill against coming Nazi fire and bombs (which probably never happened) and the next of the brilliant campaign I pulled of in Civilization IV a few days ago.. ahh</p>
<p>Back to Stanford. This too is my last 'real' descision (I still have NYU and Carnegie Mellon left though)..</p>

<p>yea this is my last one too...I really want to go to UCLA if I don't get into Stanford but I'm OOS and my parents don't wanna cosign the loans...but man if I don't get into Stanford I'm gonna fight for UCLA, cuz I really have no equal choices.</p>

<p>My dad, my grandma, and my mom now think i'm a total failure. They said "oh, you got rejected from MIT, but its okay, you were lazy, at least you'll get Stanford now, if you weren't lazy there too." </p>
<p>I'm going to be stuck at a state university with kids who didn't do fifteen percent of the work I did and did far many worse things. I could have drunk, smoked, been suspended a few times and had a social life and still ended up in the exact. same. place.</p>

<p>My parents try and justify it by saying: "Its ok, at least you learned alot in high school..."</p>
<p>All I learned was how to get an A and stay up late and cram before a test... only to have the knowledge leave me the next day...</p>
