Ok so I am a 21 year old female from the midwest who has been to 2 different colleges and I still have no idea what I want to major in! All my life the only thing I have ever wanted to do was to make movies. Not to act or direct but to be behin the scenes like a foley artist or something like that. I still want to do this but the fact that I live in the midwest is hurting me, and also everybody wants to be a filmmaker. I'm afraid to pursue this because I feel like it's a dead end career. None of my friends or teachers can offer me any advice or show me support. I would also like to make decent money you know? Enough to support myself and possibly a family, I'm so depressed about this. I just don't have anybody to talk to and help point me in the right direction. Can anybody help me?

You need a lot more help than a bunch of high schoolers could offer on a college prep website.
A good start would be learning where to (properly) post your topics though.

Look into Ithaca, Ohio University, Boston University, Northeastern, American and Syracuse.

you should post this in the “college majors” forum. You could get what you’re looking for there from people searching for advice on majors there. Post under “visual arts and film majors.” You could find advice on colleges and special programs.
