My life is screwed!?

thank you guys, u guys are very helpful. Any idea which hotel/business schools are good around New Jersey and New York?
thx:)

do u think i have any chance at Cornell or CMU(Tepper)? if i apply early...

Cornell; no.
Tepper; probably not but an ED will help you out there. Your chances wouldn't be as low as it would with Cornell.

but i heard cornell hotel school is not as competitive as the other cornell schools, and that it weights hospitality experience equal to SAT... and i do have some hospitality experience and am a bilingual... i also plan on working in Hong Kong after i graduated ... im so frustrated right now, donno what school to apply early...
i love CC, u guys are very helpful :)

I wish I had a GPA of 3.63/4.6 and work experience...it would have helped my app more.

You'll be fine. Just bring up that SAT.

its 3.6 out of 4.6 ...

Why's it out of 4.6? That's odd.

Pardon me...lets put in a dose of reality.

He cant get into Wisc or U Illinois UC with those stats.

Retake the SAT, increase the score a bit, apply to Wisconsin on the first day and play up diversity. You have a slight chance

are u guys talking about U of wisconsin(madison), should i apply ED?

Wisconsin?? I know people that got into WIsconsin OOS and not UMD in-state. Wisconsin is a good school but it isn't all that hard to get into as seen by its 4.2 peer assessment rating. I think you have a good chance at wisconsin if you raise those SATs up to a 1250/1850-1900

ive narrowed down to these schools:
Super Reach:
Cornell Hotel School (dream school)

Reach:
CMU-Tepper (good school)
University of Wisconsin-Madison (good school)

Between Reach and Match:
Penn State (ok good school)
Rutgers U(im In-state here)(Atlantic City in NJ- Casino Hotel Resort)
Purdue West Lafayette (good hospitality program but the location is not very good)

Match:
CUNY- baruch (in the city, mabbe i can get a hotel job there, and start climbing the promotion ladder)
U of Nevada- Las Vegas (lots of casino hotels)
U of Hawaii- Monoa (tourism and hotels)
SUNY- buffalo (in NY)

any more suggestions, any idea which school should i apply ED so i can have a decent chance! thx

why not look at university of houston ive heard the hilton school owns. only disadvantage...its in a really bad part of town but im sure theres cheap enough apartments in the suburbs. whodve ever thunk a small town hotel guy from the west tx town of cisco, tx would go and start such a big hotel firm.
