My List

I have no idea how I'm going to choose which college to go to - my first choice is College of the Atlantic, but if that ends up being too expensive or I do not get accepted I have no idea which school I will go to. Honestly, I'd be happy at any of these. Can someone please help me narrow this list. I will definitely apply to ALL of these, but I will obviously have to narrow it down once I start getting accepted.
- Berry College
- Centre College
- Clark University
- College of the Atlantic
- Dickinson College
- Earlham College
- Eckerd College
- Emory and Henry College
- Green Mountain College
- Guilford College
- Gustavus Adolphus College
- Northland College
- Prescott College
- Ripon College
- Saint Anselm College
- Saint Michael's College
- The College of Idaho
- University of Evansville
- University of Puget Sound

We can’t narrow the list for you. Only you know the relative importance of different charcteristics.

-How important is price?
-How close to home do you want to be?
-What does the school offer in your intended area of study?
-What else in important to you?

That is a lot of applications! I hope they don’t all require supplemental applications!

The process will be simplified for you once you get admissions decisions and FA packages.

In the meantime, you have plenty of time to analyze/research those schools and think more about what you want. Create a big spreadsheet with the colleges in the first column and then various factors across the top, then grade each school on those factors. Actually you need to have a weight for each factor and then multiply each rating by the weight. Do that analysis without financial considerations just to get an overall idea of their rankings.
Once you know the FA situation, re-evaluate based on that.
