My Major Changed on my AIS

Howdy,
I am a freshman at blinn trying to transfer for fall 2017. My major recently changed from my first choice to my second choice. Does this 100% mean that I got denied from my first choice? I applied for nutritional science- I have a 3.6 GPA and 40 hours, however, I am missing 3 needed core classes that I am currently taking 2 of right now and planning to take the third in the summer(as listed on my application). Did I even have a chance?

I was told they don’t even take summer classes into consideration for admission. Otherwise, they would have to wait until your summer class was over to verify if you even meet the prereqs and then give you a decision a few weeks before the term. This doesn’t make sense as you wouldn’t be able to go to new student conference and just hope that the classes you need to take aren’t already full.
