<p>i can almost guarantee you will get a 10+.. if you fill up the entire space provided, have 2-3 solid examples as well as have a clear stance with regard to the prompt. 5 paragraphs would be ideal, but that's tough so 4 paragraphs is fine. use SAT words that make sense and write clearly and coherently. don't try to get too fancy. Personally, that strategy has worked for me and i think it's a pretty good strategy.</p>

<p>About the big SAT words--that's just the icing on the cake. It's not necessary to get a 12, and it really doesn't make much difference. People overestimate the big words.</p>

<p>You write very well. Unfortunately your content and critical thinking, particularly the paragraph about Japanese-American internment (your argument did not make too much sense to me), were a little weak, which understandably resulted in a lower score.</p>
