My mind just automatically flies to the universe when i'm taking the exam~~~~

I took a practice test this morning and i found out that i made a LOT of careless and stupid mistakes.(thats unforgivable)

Actually,I found it hard to concentrate during the exam.when i was up to section 5,i just lost my mind automatically.I got at least 3 questions wrong even thought i knew the answers~~~~~

what do you do to keep your concentration ''alive''?

I told myself that I needed a great score and if I didn’t get it then I wouldn’t get into my dream school.

With that being said, I never did more than two practice sections at a time. When you’re actually taking the SAT you will concentrate better I’m sure.

Any sections specifically?

And perhaps your tired, etc. I makes a lot of careless mistakes when i’m tired and they definitely don’t reflect your true skill set.

reading section esp.

Yep. Same here… I tend to doze off. It’s hard to stay focused, especially when you’re trying to teach yourself, at home.

Part of why you practice is to identify and improve weaknesses.

In order to concentrate, I treated each question as if it was a batter and I was the pitcher. That worked for me, at least. If you’re becoming tired during the test, you may want to drink tea before the test and during breaks, since it’s mildly caffeinated but not enough to make you hyper or jittery. If it’s just a matter of attention, then try setting a goal and keeping that in mind throughout the test. If all else fails, there’s always Ritalin.

This reminds me of a girl who got so engrossed in one of the CR passages that she completely bombed the test. I think she had ADD.

I draw a picture of Yale on the desk for major motivation. Lol
