My Mother on the Topic of College Visits

@Marg532 -

No offense taken that you aren’t interested in music management. It’s a little hard to know which today’s new media what is of interest to whom.

The below is from the website of SUNY Oswego, a school which gives merit money.

“Communication Studies at Oswego explores the multiple ways that humans interact and exchange ideas and beliefs. We offer students many opportunities to explore how we communicate interpersonally, in small groups and within society using the mass media and new media technologies. Our programs in Broadcasting and Mass Communication, Communication and Social Interaction, Journalism and Public Relations are designed to give students opportunities to work with outstanding faculty in a collaborative learning environment. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Princeton Review list our programs among the best in the United States.”

Perhaps you might be interested in the “using the mass media and new media technologies” aspect? A young man I know graduated from Oswego with a communications degree a few years ago; he is working in the radio industry.

Some schools also offer a “do it yourself” major and you might want to look into something like that.
