Can a bad music supplement hurt me in the admissions process? I'm applying ED to Princeton, so it's not like I have time to re-do it (must be sent by 10/17/05), and my teacher worked so hard recording me and everything using his equipment that I would be a jerk not to send it. I suppose it isn't THAT bad, but it's average at best (for a Princeton applicant, that is). Do the people listening to the supplement tell the admissions committee that I suck, or do they just not say anything if it's bad? Additionally, do the admissions people know that I sent a supplement, and therefore, if the music people don't tell them anything it just implicitly means that I suck? God, this is frustrating...

It's better to send nothing at all than to send something bad, average, or mediocre.

However, top schools like Princeton get so many applications and so much supplementary material that I doubt they really go through it at all (at least the VAST majority of it).

thanks whartonalum... does anyone else have something to add??
