chances for Cal or UCLA or UCSD?

Are you in-state? I don't know your original post.

ya I live in California, and my main choice is UCLA, 2nd choice is UCSD.
my rank is 2 for sure now, and ya, i don't know how to calculate my UC GPA, so my weighted right now is a 4.6, but i think it's gonna go up to a 4.7 if it makes any difference.

UCLA-match
UCB-Reach
UCSD-safe match

thanx, anymore opinions or any suggestions to boost my chances at these colleges?

funkmasta:

UCLA: Match
UCB: Match
UCSD: Safe Match

wow, really? so a match is like a 90% chance, or is 80%? whutever, it's still good right? that's reasurring, i guess in a way.

one more thing, I want to enter the medical field, so ya, pre-med college, i guess that would make it harder to get into college now.........more comments after updated info?

Match is more like 50/50. I disagree that SD is a match with a 1920. Calculate your uc gpa ON THE pathways site. It counts only 10th and 11th and eighht semesters of honors and APs. Pre med related majors are some of the most impacted and hardest to get into. If you look at the school boards, you'll see that none of these would have been a safety for you this year. Apply widely!

indian isn't a race

caucasoid negroid and asiatic are the three races.

haha everything is just a blend.

Match is 60%.

wow, my confidence just went away after reading that....is a 1920 SAT score considered average for UC? or is it just UCSD?

1920 will probably be average for SD and low for CAl and LA. You will be an interesting case though given your relative success at your schools. Really try to raise the SAT score.

What? UCB isn't a match with an under-2000 SAT score. UCLA might be. Anyways...how can you have a 4.6w/5.0 with a 3.8uw GPA? Unless you've been taking all AP's since your freshman year...

no, not really sup. i took one weighted class sofomore year, and 5 weighted classes this junior year, 3 of which are AP classes. the 6th class is a T.A., which doesn't get added into your academic GPA, which your rank is based on. I got 1 B this year in english, so my gpa went down to a 4.8, but averaged out not counting my freshman year, my cumalitive gpa is 4.6. sorry for such a long explanation, im just bored. oh yea, and if im wrong, i don't care, cuz that's whut it says on my grade reports.

bump bump bump
