Apparently someone has registered a nickname "Kenyon_01" and has a registered date of Mar 2006. And he has been imitating me, i.e. my ID on College Confidential.

If you refer to the thread there, he claims to be a Malaysian and also a freshman (which I am not) in Kenyon College, who's going to transfer out to "Midd, Vassar". If I am not wrong, there isn't any Malaysians in Kenyon for the Class of 2009. And if you were to check again "other posts he had posted", you will see that he claims to have "rejected Harvard, MIT, Caltech, Princeton for Kenyon". And having posted some highly vitriolic posts with regards to some people thinking that "Kenyon is a safety" school, I suspect that someone is trying to get back at me, albeit using a bit of underhanded means.

But then again, "imitation is the best form of flattery". I thank him for that but at the same time, would like to warn readers to be more discerning and check to see if it's the real kenyon10 posting... and not the imitated kenyon01 (which I do not think there's much meaning in that nickname anyway).

Seems like KC vs. GC bashing happens every year. It was stupid a year ago and its still stupid. Guys, after you get into the college of your choice, it doesnt matter which college is better than which. I think its best for all to prepare yourself for the freshman year not with a tone of animosity but learning to be more open and friendly. You really need these characters when you are an entering freshman. Trust me on that. Listen to White Materia.

Anyway, I met up with another Kenyon alumni today and all I can conclude is that Kenyon centers around students who are friendly, supportive and just plain nice. So I guess we should perhaps uphold that and continue to be nice. =) Not to say be nice for the sake of being nice, but genuinely nice because I guess that will impact us for the next 4 years and perhaps for the rest of our lives! =)
