Hi,

GPA= 3.7

SAT= 1760(retaking)

ACT=26(retaking)

EC= Varsity Soccer, Treasurer of Class for whole high school career, President of Effective School Members Club, Treasurer of Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, President of Art Club and Art Honor Society, 20+ hours of community service.

AP(taken and plan on taking)= A.P. US History, A.P. Literature and Language

are you applying to tisch school of the arts? if so your chances are higher because of the weight of your audition and portfolio? if not i think it’s a reach because of your low scores, and aps

Yes, i am applying to NYU Tisch school of the arts. I have a drawing portfolio that is pretty strong but i still need to finish up my film.

I think that studio art is a different school so if you want to apply to Tisch you submit the film (but double check online). Maybe you should apply to the other school, if you feel drawing is your strength.
Your GPA is good if it’s unweighted, but I think you’d have to bring up your act or sat score by 300/3 points to be a strong candidate. But, the portfolio or other creative part of your application is weighted equally as your grades, so if it is strong, NYU could be a match.

If you have time, you should chance me. I’m so paranoid I won’t get in anywhere.

My GPA is unweighted. Im nervous about my SAT because i already took it twice and did 30 points worse the second time! oh well, third times the charm right?
