do ppl get bored of the school and each other?

I don't think most students get bored of the school or each other. While everyone needs a change of scenery every now and then, it doesn't create a problem overall. Life at Grinnell revolves around the campus. There is so much to do on campus that the problem people have is being able to take part in all the activities they desire. Also, in the middle of the fall semester, the students get 1 week off and in the spring semester 2 weeks off. Additionally, every other Saturday or so there is bus transportation from Grinnell to Iowa City or Des Moines.

It would really depend on the person. My son couldn't wait to get back for his second year. The school doesn't have many more students than his HS, but they seem to be very compatible with each other, so he is surrounded by friends at Grinnell. Very interesting, diverse, serious about learning but fun-loving--1,500 people like that are not boring.

I second everything SoCaDad said as well. And most students study abroad for at least a semester. I think the biggest problem my son will have at Grinnell will be having to leave when his 4 years are up.

However, someone who wants to spend every weekend clubbing ion a city would not find a best fit at Grinnell. It's a small place.

I've only been here since August 23rd, but I definitely don't feel like that will be a problem. There are a lot of people and a lot of things to do.
