My one mistake

Hi,
I have had all A's in all of my high school classes. I'll be graduating with at least 7 AP classes. I made one mistake, and got a B as a semester grade in regualar history in junior year, however i had taken a college history class at the local community college, which i got an A in. can i replace this B with the A, especially since the A is a college level class?

You mean on your high school transcript? That's something you need to discuss with your counselor. Good luck, and welcome to CC. :)

A "B" is not a scarlet letter. It just shows you're human. I would submit your transcript as such and the college course as such.

If that is the only "mistake" you made in your high school life, you are a lucky person!

you have to be kidding, you are ridiculous

That's not very nice, theuniverse. The poster is obviously a bright person.

Maybe.........

Hardworking definitely, intelligent most likely, but severely lacking in common sense and personal confidence. Grades do not define a person nor do they define an applicant--atleast 1 B doesn't.

Oh, and what does it matter now? You can't change the past.

You should definately send in a transcript from that college class. However, I think it is highly unlikely and probably even not possible that your A will replace that B. The reason being is that when people receive grades that require summer school, such as an F or a D in some cases, the grade from the summer school course does replace the not-passing grade. However, a B is a very good grade, and at least the way it is in my school is that if you pass the class (C- or above), you cannot replace that grade.

Things might be different at your school of course, but I'm pretty sure colleges only consider grade replacements valid when you did not pass the course the first time.

:)

thanx for your replies and your support

a word of advice....eat a cookie and don't focus on being perfect...egad, that just makes you annoying...and I am a mom saying that

you have made another mistake...freaking out over a B....THAT worry will cause more harm than any B ever will
