okay so im a freshman and i check my grades online and i see a couple A- 's in Honors Government and Economics and Algebra 2 and my mom starts freaking out and takes away my Modern warfare 2!? does anyone think this is unreasonable? i mean i know ive been slipping but still im trying to convince her that i will bring my grade up

In my school, a 90.0 is the same as a 100. As long as I don’t finish with a B my parent’s don’t care.

Besides, it can be a good thing. MW2 gets repetitive. After taking a break, the game becomes much more enjoyable.

yea princeton does 90-93

A little crazy yeah, but it’s atleast good to have parents who care some. Do your best to get your grades to As if you/your parents really care, and if you don’t care about your grades then it’s good that your parents do.

My state flagship used to not look at As and A-s as different, but if you’re expected to go to an Ivy League school, then it’s important (it’s debatable how important, but they’re not considered the same).

Other than that, I don’t know what you’re expecting for responses.

While it’s irrelevent for you, I was saying that my high school counts a 90 and a 100 as the same thing. In other words, there is nothing but a letter on the transcript, an A being anywhere between 90-100.

I always wanted a girl just like you, such a P.Y.T. pretty young thang :)

My school doesn’t have pluses and minuses. It’s pretty sweet.

Taking away a video game does not exactly constitute abuse…

Just get better grades, geez.

If a 90 equaled a 100 at my school, so much pressure would be lifted off my shoulders. I’m so jealous.

How abusive! (gasp)

You should call a social worker on your mom for taking away your video games…that’s inhumane…;)

MW2 isn’t even that good anyways.

Go play some quality games. like starcraft.

What!?! Taking away a video game?

HOW CRUEL. MY GOD, SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE.

Yeah, and screw all those asian kids that get beaten and caned for a B, me being one of them.

No offense, but you sound like a… I can’t describe it without cussing.
